Calling on a Taoist Lived Dai Tian Mount but in Vain

I heard the barking of dogs and the murmur of spring water as i entered the mountain,
I saw the blooming peach blossom full of thick and colorful dew.
Wild deer occasionally appear in the deep and secluded wood,
The noon at brook is silent but the bell was not heard.
Wild bamboos look likes blue mists penetrates the blue sky,
I saw the waterfall down from the green peaks fly.
No one knew where the Taoist was going.
I had to rely on the pines to dispel all my feelings.

访戴天山道士不遇

犬吠水声中，桃花带露浓。
树深时见鹿，溪午不闻钟。
野竹分青霭，飞泉挂壁峰。
无人知所去，愁倚两三松。

Creative background
This poem was written by Li Bai before the age of 20. According to the Annals of Li Taibai written by Huang Xiyu in the Qing Dynasty, when Li Bai was 18 or 19 years old, he lived in seclusion and studied in the Daming Temple of Dakuang Mountain (Dai Tianshan in the title of the poem). This poem was probably written at that time.

Everyone has a faith, it’s not God or Shakyamuni, you may be not a Buddhist or Christian, but you still have your faith, all lives perhaps have a common faith, that’s conscience, but this kind of faith has no common rule, because different person has different conscience, so we make a law.
